Albums
Toto's discography comprises 13 studio albums and four live albums. There are also a few compilations. In addition to releasing original music, Toto has also done work with other artists and on soundtracks for films. The group has won multiple Grammy Awards.
Before Toto was formed the members of the group did sessions for other musicians. David Paich, the son of drummer Marty Paich, and Jeff Porcaro (the brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro and drummer Jeff Porcaro) all performed on Boz Scaggs’ 1975 album Silk Degrees. Toto was formed in 1976 in the wake of the collaboration.
Toto's third album, 첫가입 꽁머니 Turn Back, marked a departure from the more progressive sound of their previous efforts and was criticized for its lack of hit singles. In 1985, singer Fergie Frederiksen resigned from the group, and the band held auditions to find a new frontman. Toto released Toto XX in 1998 to mark the 20th anniversary of the band. The group went through old recordings and tapes to create the special record. The album was well-received by fans and Toto embarked on an extensive tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
Shem Von Schröck replaced Leland Sklar as drummer on the tour in support of the 40 Trips Around the Sun album. In 2017, Toto released the double-CD set Falling in Between. It included tour recordings and also an interview with the group.
