An Easy-To-Follow Guide To Item Upgrade
WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades can give you an increase in certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item upgrades by +3. Each upgrade item also increases the random substatus.
The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for the latter because of the requirement to roll a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the Item Level Upgrade will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.
The upgrader is located in all major cities and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item, however, they are always cheaper than buying new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are useful items which can be used to level up weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. They can be purchased by players from item upgrader NPCs in exchange for various currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be applied to any weapon or tool using an button, which will show a preview of the item when it is upgraded if the player has sufficient materials.
The upgrade cost depends on the item slot and the current level of the item, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers, for example. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.
Item upgraders can be found in a variety of locations on the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount and the chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrades increases with the number of items being upgraded, and can be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.
Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no item upgrader available at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only available through a variety of methods. This is both a positive and a disadvantage.
In Season 3 the upgrade system has been modified a bit, and numerous new features added. After the player has upgraded to a specific level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level, will cost less. This is true even if those items come from a different set of equipment.
The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is reduced also, but is only available when certain milestones are achieved.
Crests
When upgrading equipment in WoW players have a variety of options. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an integral component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is with a certain rank. Each rank comes with a different upgrade path. The simplest and simplest upgrade route costs 15 crests while the more complex one requires as many as 20 crests, based on the kind of gear being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through completing tasks at the appropriate level. This could mean doing outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulty levels to obtain lower-level gear or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons with heroic difficulty to obtain endgame gear. The crests can then be exchanged with an item upgrader, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and pathways.
The new currency system isn't difficult to use, but it will bring some modifications to the upgrade process. Once a piece of gear has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This is to allow players to upgrade their gear up to the highest ilvl possible on all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also crucial to choose crests in a wise manner, as they only have one use. For instance it's a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests with the Best item upgrade equipment available and save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning to create. This is especially applicable to items like trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The discount for the entire account will only be applicable if all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
