5 Reasons Item Upgrade Is Actually A Good Thing
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can boost the performance of a piece of equipment and, sometimes, even add extras. The value of these upgrade is determined by the levels of gear, their requirements, and the number of random augmentations are applied.
The racial Shield elite Razortail, for example, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption capabilities in PvP or add additional defenses to missile-based designs in the PvM. This makes it more tradable than the perfect non-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens let you buy a new item, like an armor, weapon or ring. The item upgrader mod is replaced by another item of the same type and comes with different benefits. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective method of upgrading gear. They don't keep the original equipment's condition, and any resources wasted will not be refunded.
Survivors can obtain tokens to reroll in many ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in chests and crates or bought at the local store for 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attributes of a piece of equipment, such as increasing its damage or giving it a new stat.
Players can roll equipment in three attributes, physical power, spell power and health. Upgrades to physical power can increase damage from weapons and melee attack, while upgrades to spell power upgrade mage attacks and the ring. Health upgrades give players an additional level of health.
Three types of reroll tokens are available: upgrade rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item to a higher quality. To produce them, you need a higher-quality reroll token. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common item, while rare upgrades require a unique or a legendary item upgrades, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
In contrast to other special tokens and markers that are placed on action spaces, the reroll marker remains in the space until the next Success result is repeated. This allows you to avoid wasting upgrades.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the start of each Preparation Phase and are opened by grabbing them using Interact. When they are opened, they display an image and description of the Ingredient or Appliance. The restaurant's shop can swap blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for a small amount.
This means that blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a game. This changes the kind of blueprints that a restaurant's shop has available for rerolls and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to improve weapons, armor and accessories. These are special stones that boost the value of an item by improving its stats or characteristics. These items can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the major towns. They can purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a cost. Additionally, players can acquire these stones by signing daily contracts.
To upgrade their gear, players must first identify the appropriate item, and then click on the "level up" button. This will show a list of the item's current level and what it will be when it is upgraded. It will also display the amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade the item. The number of Growth Stones needed to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Typically rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas uncommon armor requires a single green or blue Growth Stone.
After deciding what to upgrade, players need to select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the appropriate cost. Once the requirements are satisfied, the user can then click the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will raise the item's level by a certain percentage. The upgrade process can take from a few seconds to several minutes, depending on the rarity of the item upgrader.
The upgrade process is completely risk-free and does not affect the durability of the item. The system is a great way for players who wish to get an edge in combat but don't want to strain their wallets. Moreover players can transfer experience and the progress of an upgraded item to a new item by clicking the "transfer" tab.
For new players, it can be difficult to obtain Growth Stones. However, there are many ways to obtain these stones, such as completing contracts and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, collecting them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from the reward chests of the Ancient Arena season. Players can also break down higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.
Leveling
Leveling is an optional feature that lets players increase the stats of their weapons armor, helms and trinkets. The Upgrade Station lets you combine an item with upgrade materials, and also pay a cost in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The upgrade materials will be consumed and the item will receive an upgrade to a higher level. This process can be repeated until the highest level for an item upgrades has been reached.
Items that have upgraded stats will display a blue icon beside their slot. In contrast to enchantments, upgrade components cannot be stacked with each other, but can only be added to one item at one time. Each upgrade component requires the purchase of a certain amount of items and a minimum level of equipment.
The Upgrade Station comes with two slots: the left is where players can add an item to be upgraded, and the right slot shows a preview of what the gear will look like once it is at its next level. When a player has enough materials, pressing the yellow arrow will initiate the upgrade process.
A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each time it is upgraded, the base stats of the item will increase by a small amount. The maximum level of an item is 19.
When an item is at its maximum capacity, it will no longer have the option of upgrading. When a piece of equipment is upgraded to a certain track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track will be discounted.
Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can be inserted into armor, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools to provide an attribute bonus or extra effect while the equipment is in use. They can be purchased from vendors, looted, acquired through questing, or traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so will destroy the previous upgrade, excluding for glyphs, which can be removed and replaced freely.
Requirements
The upgrades to items allow players the ability to increase certain attributes of weapons and armor they currently own. The requirements to upgrade an item differ based on the item type however, generally you'll require Dilithium as well as a few Upgrade Tokens (various options available).
Item upgrade components can be slotted into equipment set pieces or weapons to provide extra effects or a higher quality item. These upgrades can be obtained from many sources, including crafting, buying from the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting from bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component has been inserted into an object, it is not able to be removed or replaced. However the glyphs can be swapped freely.
Upgrades can increase the Mark Level of an item or Rarity. Some upgrade components also have additional modifiers that can increase the item's statistics.
For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" improves base defense, and also gives an additional 20% chance to block. In addition the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases damage to weapons.
Certain items benefit from being upgraded less because of their improved stats, but because it lets players get the maximum amount of value out of a perfect roll on the item. For example, a perfect-rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50 times the value of the unupp'd version.
The game will show you the requirements when you select the upgrade component to be incorporated into the item. These include the type of item (either weapon or armor) and the level of the item and the Upgrade Token needed, and the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.
If you've fulfilled the conditions for upgrading The game will then place the item in your inventory and the progress bar will change to indicate how close to completing it. You can also check the status of an upgrade by going to any item upgrader NPC.
