World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and PvE Damage.

For example an item with the upgrade template that ends in % will take on 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item upgrader mod level rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to give an additional stat boost or impact while they're being used. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to devices that have slots. The item must be upgraded to blue level before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging ascended gear or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could be prefixed or a suffix that alters the name of the equipment to which it is applied (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with less Upgrade crystals than they would require to reach the same level using standard methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or by purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.

The player can have a maximum of five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item upgrader mod will appear during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of the extent to which it will improve after a future reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be costly and there is a substantial chance that the item could be obsolete or even break when it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that can increase or even eliminate the chances of failure, and a few upgrades that give a bonus when reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes in a radius around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible to level 15.

In the endgame you'll find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component which can be upgraded to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without any restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values that can enhance a stat by, and the value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with another Glyph with the same rank or higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the numerous Glyphs, and there are also a few rare glyphs to be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you will need them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus which will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Glyphs increase the number of nodes connected to them, therefore it is best to put Glyphs in the most important locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for example should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to boost the stats of specific items by inserting upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each level requires a different amount of components to be reached and the costs for upgrading increase as the item is upgraded.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in a crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When an individual player improves the equipment they have it will be replaced with an item that is new. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This can be a downside since the item may become more expensive even if you do not need it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrades. The item will be replaced with a brand new one that is based on a level 1 base and completely different bonuses. This can be useful but it shouldn't be done often as it can waste resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their gear. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). This item upgrader kit can be upgraded many times by increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is highly valuable in PvP. A perfectly rolled version can be worth up to 50x the value of its unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to boost the level of their available equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader - yanyiku.Cn - NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase its base defense and weapon upgrades items increase their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear that can be upgraded up to eight times. Each time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can result in the item reverting to its original state, which requires the player to pay for more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. Additionally the item will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance, attack damage, as well as all other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or the speed of reloading). However, the player may still continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in the chance of crit the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a typical equipment item might have 5 upgrades at a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items could have different upgrade requirements from normal equipment. For instance they might require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. The player will still need to take every piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the costs that are listed above.
